The main object of this international excursion is to:
- Classify soils at different sites according to WRB, with special regard to soils with stagnic and/or gleyic properties
- Demonstrate two different methods of soil survey using an adjusted version of WRB

The itinerary of the excursion. Map: Frauke Hofmeister, Skog og landskap The excursion will start in the south-eastern part of Norway and end up in Trondheim. Driving the main road (E6) north from Oslo through the valley of Gudbrandsdalen, crossing the mountain area of Dovre, we will make stops at relevant sites. Cost
Estimated cost is NOK 5900 (can be subject for change), including excursion transport, all meals and accommodations (listed below). The night from the 12th to the 13th of September, and meals on the 12th, has to be organised by each participant. Further information will be given to those who register.

15.09.2010 - 16.09.2010: Toftemo Tourist Station, Dovre
16.09.2010 - 17.09.2010: Nidaros Pilgrim Centre, Trondheim
Refreshments will be available from the bus.
Lunch will be organised as picnics, preferably to be eaten at the sites (either in the bus or outside)

15.09.2010: Toftemo Tourist Station, Dovre
16.09.2010: Lian, Trondheim
All meals are included in the excursion cost. Due to the high prices on wine and beer in Norwegian restaurants, meals are served with delicious Norwegian water. Other beverages are availabe at own cost. The excursion dinner on the 16th of September will include one glass of wine/ beer per participant.
